The Convergent Planner

As usual, I'm kind of late to the party.

Couple of weeks ago Mark Hancock wrote an interesting post about Convergence Planning in his blog that got stuck in my mind.

You can read the entire piece here - it's worth it - but for now, I just want to highlight one thing he mentioned; the four key characteristics of the Convergent Planner:

1. Intellect of the brand architect
2. Financial acumen of the management consultant
3. Geekiness of the hacker
4. Curiosity of the social psychologist

I got captivated by these simple [yet accurate] descriptions for one main reason: these represent the standard skill-set of any planner [regardless of fancy names] that aspires to successfully and relevantly work in the web 2.0 era.

Think about it.
