New York's Digital District

Last week I got the chance to attend the Super Secret Awesome Amazing Top Secret Digital Dumbo One Year Anniversary Party [seriously, I did not made up that name], organized by the smart guys at CarrotCreative in partnership with some other cool guys I just can't remember [my apologies].

Needless to say, it was a fun gathering. Between the stupendous waves of passion that crowded the extensive room of Galapagos Art Space, and the conversations [mostly] resulted from the sponsored happy hour, somehow the event became the forum to announce the ambitious plan to launch DUMBO's neighborhood in Brooklyn as New York's digital district.

Well, pretentious or not one thing is for sure: some of the most passionate people of the digital business converge everyday in that beautiful area, which continues to grow faster and faster. Mostly smaller players, but people with really big digital hearts.

That's what matters.

At that pace I'm sure it won't take them long to put a flag in the ground and claim victory.

Congrats!
